We had a great week in NC, and stayed B-U-S-Y! Here are the highlights:
Saturday – it snowed! We also visited w/ the Alden/Wyatt crew
Sunday – the GNP gang came over for coffee, then we celebrated Savannah’s first birthday! Lydia also ate Chili this day, which was a big deal
Monday -hung out with Nina, didn’t do that much
Tuesday – played with Caleb and Kristen in the morning, went to my cousin Erin’s to play with Sophia and Olivia in the afternoon,
and stayed for dinner
Wednesday, played with Carter and Luke (and Stacey) in the morning.
Thursday, Colleen brought baby Mary over for a visit
Friday, we played at Kelly’s house with Landon, and then went for lunch. We went to see Jessie on her birthday, and Lydia and Sissy LOVED each other! We met our Durham neighbors for pizza from my favorite place, Randy’s, for dinner.
Saturday, I had am coffee w/ LeAnne and Eliza (forgot to take a picture!), and then went to see my IBM girls, Kelly, Heather and Jessica, and had a coffee chat break for a few hours. I got to go out dancing with my friend Lindsay that night, and Nina and Papa watched the kiddos.
Sunday, I had my annual “Christmas” get together with Kristen, Allie and Lindsay. I found out that none of them check the
blog. Shame on them! (kidding!!!)

Dear God,
Thank you for a safe drive home from NC today. Thank you for good weather, no traffic, and well behaved children (for the most part). Please forgive me for the nasty thoughts I had concerning the South Carolina State Patrolman that pulled me over and gave me a $76 ticket for speeding, and a $100 ticket for not having my registration in the car, thus necessitating a second trip to Manning SC on Feb 20 to show said registration, so I don’t have to pay the extra $100. I know we needed to go up to Gastonia anyway, so it really won’t be THAT far out of the way, but I really have a bad attitude about leaving my house at 5:30am to arrive at court with my two children by 9… However, I know that it was my bad choice for speeding, so please forgive the abundance of ugly and sinful thoughts about South Carolina, the education level and personal grooming habits of SC patrolmen and also please forgive my annoyance with the fact that Officer McCoy didn’t understand the reason I was driving 84 in a 70 zone is because I was driving two small children and a dog to Florida from NC, and that will make anyone drive like a bandit.
Amen.

Please continue to pray for Baby Ned – he made his arrival this morning. Read Betsy’s entry from this evening, then go hug your beautiful child/ren. It is a true testament, and brought me to tears.
