The comings and goings of the fab four

My friend Pam finally got back from her cruise! I have missed her this week. We got together with her and her son, Alex, at the park today, and were rained out, so they came over and hung out for a little while at our house. Alex is so amazing – he is only 2 and can spell cat, and hat, and some other things! He’s pretty much a prodigy.

I am pretty proud of Lydia too, she always does SUCH a good job at trying to relate to other kids. She kind of watches the other child for a few minutes, sizes them up, and figures out how she wants to play with them. She is doing a lot better at sharing her toys, but we’re still working on it. A little girl she met last week and TOTALLY hit it off with, Savannah, is coming over on Tuesday, so I will be interested to see how well she plays with her.

Speaking of Savannah, our little niece Savannah was baptized in Raleigh today. We hate that we missed it, but our thoughts and prayers are with her, Hope and Andy on this special day!

edit: Marie made Savannah’s beautiful dress out of Hope’s mother’s wedding dress. It is absolutely beautiful! Savannah looks like a little angel!

Since we’re coming to NC this weekend (to finally see the fruits of our labor – our 10 year reunion is finally here, and it’s going to happen, and it’s going to be fantastic!), Lydia won’t go to school on Friday, so she’s going tomorrow instead. I think that is a huge blessing because we haven’t gotten out the last few days and we are all going nuts! I need to be socialized.

I haven’t taken many pictures the last few days. I will try to snap some this week!

Whenever Miles hears music, if he’s standing up, he’ll start bobbing up and down and smiling – kind of like bouncing, but you can tell he is trying to dance. It’s verrrry cute.

As I mentioned before, I have started running recently. I was looking for something more than music, but the NPR station here is kind of hard to locate (and my mp3 player doesn’t get great reception). SO, I have started downloading podcasts (finally, I know). I have Grey’s Anatomy and some NPR stuff, but if you have any favorites that you listen to, please email me, or respond to this post. TIA!
