The comings and goings of the fab four

We went to Colleen & Eddie’s house yesterday and went to the pool. We were worried that Lydia would hate the pool because she has been terrified of the bathtub lately, however she loved it. Tonight my family and the Aldens came over for a cookout.

I caught Lydia having a snack and reading some magazines this morning.

Is it the end of school yet? Sure feels like it should be. I’m very tired but wanted to post some pictures of Lydia working out in the garden with Papa. Lydia is saying Mommy and Daddy very regularly now (finally!).

This weekend we headed down to Gastonia to visit with the Ferguson clan. Robert’s grandparents had a family get together so we could see everyone before we leave. It was fun to see everyone, especially since we didn’t get to see anyone at Christmas because Robert got a stomach flu halfway through our Christmas visits. Lydia had a good time and even got to meet the dogs next door to Mama B & Grandaddy.

Now that our card reader is attached to the computer, it’s easier to load pictures. However, most of our pictures are taken at the table, so not much variation. Lydia isn’t big on standing still these days, and most of the time, the only action shots we get are of her back, so for now, this is what we’ve got! Lydia was eating an apple in the last picture.

Mom also said that Lydia is NOT speaking German or Swedish, she is speaking Hebrew. Just so you know.

We have been staying busy with work and Lydia stuff. Now that all of the Texas stuff is mostly finalized, we’re able to actually focus on the stuff that matters, like our countdowns to the end of the year. Robert has about 3 weeks, and I have about 5. Then we’ll head off to the beach for 2 glorious weeks. We’ve had the chance to see lots of friends lately – Kristen and Caleb, Mandy, Dylan, Craig and Evan, and Heather, Emily & Craig, Shane and Scott. Of course she always enjoys seeing Peter and Fred on Sunday mornings.

Mother’s day was nice, we had a nice meal with the family, and Lydia got me an mp3 player. She’s so smart. She also got me a great chocolate cheesecake for dessert after dinner.

Lydia has been hanging out outside a lot, and has been creating a ruckus wherever she goes. We went to the public library today for the first time. She liked running around, but wasn’t crazy about the books. Too much going on. She’s also starting to speak in full sentences, all gibberish. She seems like she’s trying to speak German, or more likely, Swedish because of some of the noises that are coming out of her mouth. She’s still obsessed with caaaaats, and will also tell the dogs to “goway” and “getooown” (get down). Very cute. Here are some new pictures- yes, that is a chicken bone, and yes, that is a dog bed. Well we’ve had a busy few weeks, which is why this blog has not been updated! We moved out of our home, and in with my parents until our big move this summer. We’re all adjusting and getting used to the new arrangement. Of course we are so thankful that we didn’t have to move into an apartment for the time being!!! Thanks mom and dad!!!

Lydia got to play with her old friend Dylan last weekend, and see his baby brother Evan. She had a great time, and I had a great time visiting with his mom and dad!

We also have gotten to see Matt and Allison, and Kathy a lot the last few days. The Wyatts are in town, so I got to go to a baby shower for Allison last Saturday. She looks GREAT, and has about 6 more weeks. We also had dinner and cake to celebrate Allison’s birthday on Tuesday night.
