Everyone should know that Lydia had her first *real* kiss on Sunday. Below are the guilty parties. Apparently Landon kisses a lot of girls, though, so Lydia isn’t his first. He’s pretty advanced like that.

We accepted an offer on our house today! Hooooray! Thanks to everyone who sent out prayers and good karma.

Lydia got her first art lesson this afternoon with some crayons that her friend Jodi got her before she was born. She enjoyed drawing, but her favorite part was taking the crayons out of the box and putting them back into the box. We’re way into sorting these days…

Also, if you haven’t seen the belly, here’s a picture. This doesn’t even do it justice.

Here’s a picture of the dress that Nana smocked for Lydia.
Lydia is in the bathtub right now, and is yelling at her ducks. She’s waving at herself or the duck (?) and practicing her screaming. I’m peeking in on her so she can’t see me, and it seems that she’s just just having a jolly time talking to her bath critters. She’s a trip.

This morning Lydia woke up around 5:30. Robert went in and got her, or should I say hobbled, since he sprained his ankle AGAIN playing basketball. When he got her, he layed her down on his side of the bed and went to get a drink of water. She sloooowly crawled over to me, and crawled up on top of me. When her head was on my chest and she was laying flat on top of me, she stopped and went to sleep. It was like a little animal crawling up on it’s mommy, and it was very sweet. This afternoon we walked around some neighborhoods while I had the oil changed in the Explorer. Nanny came by and said hi to us on her way home because we were near her school. When we got home, we went outside with Lydia’s stroller and her baby and she pushed her baby up and down the street. We certainly enjoyed the beautiful weather, and hope you did too!
Lydia was worn out by all of the activity, and just went down a few minutes ago after a 20 minute meldown.

Lydia woke up around 5:15 this morning, and was not interested in sleeping any more. I think it was a combination of the fact that she didn’t get enough exercise yesterday and that she is cutting a tooth/teeth. I got up with her and we watched Michelle Kwan’s press conference. Lydia was pretty pleasant all morning, and went down for a nap around 10:45. We went to a wedding shower with the Good and Plenty gang at 12 at the Baker’s house, so we left right after Lydia woke up. She was in full effect. She had fun running around the house and going up and down the stairs. There were plenty of people to play with, too. A highlight was when Scott tried to make a scary face at her, and she ran up and gave him a hug. She also hung out with Peter a lot, who always LOVES Lydia and gives her lots of hugs and kisses, and with Fred who enjoys babies more than he lets on. She took a little nap at Nana and Papa’s because someone came to look at our house at 4. I ran up to the consignment store up the street from their house and got her a new pair of jeans, a little wool jacket/sweater thing that is lined with soft knit, a sweater and a little summer shirt. All baby gap, everything for $14. How’s that for a good deal!?
Now Lydia is running around the upstairs pulling stuff out of drawers, and her crack is sticking out of her new pants. We think she’s trying to mimic us and “fold” the clothes. Robert is just sitting and laughing at her. I must say, the crack sticking out of the jeans is quite funny.
Hope you had a great weekend.

I took Lydia to the gym today while I tried out a spinning class with my friend Emily. She stayed in the kids room with about a zillion other kids, but was happy, and surely had fun. Of course she cried when I dropped her off, but they said she stopped as soon as I walked out the door. When I went to pick her up she was sitting at a table drinking some water out of her cup. I think that she’s really benefitted from going to daycare. I’ll have to get her in a mother’s morning out next year so she can continue her social exposure. When we got home, she had some lunch, and then we read a story and she went down for a nap (without crying, may I add). We have come A LONG WAY since December!!!!

Lydia was so fascinated by the koozies, that we gave her one of her own for her cup. She thought she was HOT STUFF! I couldn’t help but to snap like 4-5 pictures.
